Taniwha/Ki-o Rahi

L.I:To learn how to play the taniwha role.
This week for kiwi sport the year 5's played Ki-o Rahi.We had three challenges.
The first challenge the year5's had do was in one minute we had throw the ki at the
tupu to see how much points we got and our points were 19.The next challenge the year 5's had to
do is that we had to hit the tupu and once you hit the tupu you sit in Te Ao. Our time was
1 min 58 sec

The last challenge in one minute we had to hit the tupu to see how much
points.But there was 2 kaitaki.They had to try and block the ball.The score we
got was  2.The rules of the game were to


  • Stay in Te Roto
  • Stay out of Pawero
Also we played a game and it was called Save Te Ara. We had to
run in powhrua and save the wife.Te roto people were the kidnappers.
Of you get tag you the wife.We have to save the wife and  you have to bring the wife to Te Ao.

Relationships/T Chart/Venn Diagram/Padlets

L.I: To learn what Relationships is.
This week for inquiry we learned relationships.The first thing
we did was go on padlets. Then when we had to do what's differents
between a sports and a learning group.

We had to think of some ideas to put in learning group
and sport team.Here is a example of one.Working as a team.
When your in a learning you work together as a team and when
you are in a sports team you work together so put it into both.


Then we had to do a T chart.On one side you write down
10 things that's good and on the other side we have to write
down 10 bad things.We also had to think for ideas as well.
When you have your 10 ideas on both sides you are done.

Music

L.I:To learn notes and chords.
This week for music we learned about how play the xylophone,piano
and the chime bars.The first song we played was called one call away.
The letters we had to hit C,F,A,G.We had to in chords.When you do
the c you press c and e at the same time.The same for the other letters
skip one and play that one.

Then we played a another song it was called shotgun.
The letter we had to hit was was C,F,A,G.We have to
do the same thing we did for one call away.For this we
had to do chords as well.We had one go and we were perfect.

So we did it at the beginning and it was perfect.



Bush Fires/Tasman Fires

L.I:To learn about the bush fires and the Tasman fire.
This week for reading leaned about the Tasman fire and the
bush fire.The first we had to go on the bush fires.To get the
information we had to go on the sites.We had to finish our main
ideas,summarising and evaluating.There is two other work we have to
do for reading as well.

We had to make a poster about the Tasman Fires.There was this
site called NZ herald.There was information there we can put on
for the Tasman Fires.Also there was a site called status definition.
It was about fire.There were symbols there.It was about the fire.
Then we had to make a google map.





Maths (Imformation About Number 15)


This week for math we had to pick a number to 10 to 100.

We had to find information about that a number.The first thing
we had to do is go in groups and make a google doc.When you have a
number brainstorm and find information about.When you got lot's of information
you make a google draw and get all your information about that number and put it
on the google draw.Also we had to do a presentation about it.Everyone had to say something.
.

The next thing is make a google draw.We had to put everything that we wroten

K-o Rahi



L.I:To learn the areas of the field in Ki-o Rahi
This week for kiwi sport we played K-o Rahi.Everything was all setted.
Maybe that was the play field for K-o Rahi.The areas were called


  • Te Ara-Ice bridge
  • Tupo-The rock
  • Te Roto-The mote
  • Pawero-The island
  • Pou-The 7 teeth
  • Te Ao-The world
So we had to creat a google draw about the field and the areas of the
field.We had to lables the areas so we know what's the name of the lable.
To make the areas we had to get the shapes.

Kiwi can

L.I:To listen Actively.
This week for kiwican our theme was Positive Relationships and our
topic was called Positive Communication.So the energiser we played
was called remote control.There was commands.What ever command he says
we have to do it.Of he says thats not one of the commands and of we do that were out.
Also of you do the wrong movement for that command your out.



After that game we were learning about Positive communication.
Communication that you are having a conversation with somebody.
Then we talked about listen actively.Listen actively means of
to hear what there are saying to look at them so they know your
hearing what they are saying.

The activity we played was called Chop Soye Soloute.So we had
to hear the commands that he said and do that commands.We had
to see who was the master.We did some rounds.It was the last round and it
was Mote vs Elaario.The match was over and the master was Mote.

Safe Password

L.I:How to make a safe password.
This week for cybersmart we had to learn how to make
a safe password.We watched a video about how to make safe password.
Of you don't make a safe password that means crimnals can hack into it or
can go in your bank and can steal all your money and wouldn't have money.

To make a safe password you have to write a sentence.When you have done
wrting your sentence you have to do grab the first letters from those words
and put altogether to make one word.Also you have to put on symbols,capital letters,
lower case letters and numbers.Of you do that crimnals can't figure out your password and
get into your personal stuff.

Also make sure you put it somewhere safe so nobody can find and go into your
personal stuff.Also when your on a computer at a liabray make sure you sign
out of that computer.

Relaxing Beach Birthday

Relaxing Beach Birthday
This week for writing we had to make recount.So we had
to be in groups.So we had a number on a piece of papers.
So we had to get knowledge about that number like sports people that wore
that number or of your number was 2 you could say 2 legs 2 arms or just write anything
has 2.After that we had to write down things that we have done on the hoildays.We
also had to talk about tree.

When you haved finished doing your plan we had to pick which idea to write 
for a recount. So my recount was about relaxing beach birthday.It was about my cousins 
birthday and for his birthday we went to the beach to celebrate his birthday because it was a
very hot day.

Math Graphs


LI: To display data on a graph.
This week for Maths we had to make a graph  digitally and by hand. On our graph we had to write about six different data platforms.

Each of us made one graph each.For the graphs we had to write a statements about the data we collected.For the graphs we had to write the labels and the title so people know what it is about.
Some main things you need on a graph is amount of people,that you have a data,vertical and horizontal lables.

Self Potraits


L.I:To show how the three p's and the care values work in LS1.
For self potraits the first step we had to do is do our self potraits
digitaly.So on the digital one we had to plan so we can draw it
on the good copy.The self potraits was about the care values and
the three p's.When your finish your digital plan you have to do the
good copy.Make sure your drawing is the same as your digital drawing.
So when you have drawn it color it and then you have finished it.

K-o Rahi

L.I:To learn the basics of K-o Rahi
Today for kiwi sport we learned about a game called K- o Rahi.
Also our coach was called coach Shanice.
They made the game K-o Rahi to make peace and harmony.
There was two maori people called Rahi and Te Ara.They were wife and husband.
The bad people kidnapped Te Ara and Rahi wanted to save her because
that was his wife.So the first game we played was Taniwha and Kioma.
It was the vs the boys.We had to make two lines.The girls were the Taniwha's
and the boys were called Kioma.Of they called out Taniwha that means they have
to run to the right side to the end.Of we get called we have to run to the end on the
left side to survive.So we all played and it was fun.

The 2nd game we played called 8 pass.It was boys vs girls again.
So we had share the ball to make 8 passes.Of you make 8 passes
you win.Also your have to do teamwork,spread out and also
communicate.So we all played and it was fun.

So we played another game and it was girls vs boys.
How to play is that you have to line up on the yellow line.
When coach Shanice calls out a sport we have to play that sport.
Also when coach Shanice calls out a number like three those three
go.So we all played and it was fun.So we talked about what to do for the
past other 6 weeks.



Kiwican

L.I:to have Positive Relationships.
Today for the lesson for kiwican it was about Positive Relationships and
playing games.There was a new kiwcan leaders and his name was Mr
Alapati.He was introducing himself about himself.

The first energiser was called Midnight tunnels.How to play is
that you have to get into a group of 3 and when your in a group
you counted in numbers.The numbers a 1,2,3.When that number
has been called out the person that is that number has to run around in
the circle and the other 2 has to make a tunnel and then person running goes
throught the tunnel and get into the hula hoop before your out.So we played
the game and it was fun.

Then we talked about positive relationship and the rules for kiwican and LS1.
The next activity we played was called jockey up.How to play is to get into
a partner.One person at the front and one person at the back.The person has go around the
circle and we had to do different movement when your running.When you get back to your
partner you have to jump on there back or touch there shoulders.So we all played and we all
had fun.Then we played GKQ.
