We had to make our name value.When we got our numbers we had
to add it all up.When you get your number you add that.When you
add it that is your value.My number was 4 but now it is 8.

When you get your number you have to do something.

Self Portrait

LI: to use Google Draw tools to create a digital self portrait.

We had to create a digital self portrait.There were two different

styles we could choose from.We had to go on a google draw and

use the tools to helps to do our self portraits.We could use shapes and

polyline to help us.

Ti Tiriti o te Waitangi

This week we have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi by accessing different text types and media.

In groups we needed to firstly access the information and gather the main ideas of Who, What, Where, Why and When. We had journal stories, website, youtube videos and more.

We then had to summarise the information in to sentences using key words. Even though we all picked out different words, the main idea of the treaty are the 3 Ps.

The 3 Ps are Protection, Partnership and Participation. This is what the treaty set out to achieve.

We then had to evaluate our new learnings and think of questions that we want to find more information on.

I learned about that the maori needed the british to protect them from the french.

Crazy Cricket Chaos

LI-To develop fundamental movements in cricket.

We did our first session of cricket with Brian from HPCC.

I did a session on throwing a ball at a set of stumps.
We also did an activity where we had to hit two balls off cones
as far as we could. Lastly we did a catching drill with two balls in
a big circle.

I was so tired at the end from all the running. I need to work on aiming
when throwing.

Maritime Museum

L.I:To study the history of NZ Maritime explorers

Yesterday morning LS1 left to go to the Maritime Museum to explore because so we can learning new things.

The first event our group did was learn facts about years ago and my favourite was Sir Peter Blake winning awards by racing. Next we had to explore the musuem and my favourite thing was the boats from different places. Lastly I saw the midday cannon shoot.

I had a fun day at the Maritime Museum looking at different things.

Malo lei lei, my name is Spelman and I am 11. I am Samoan and Tongan. I have two sisters. I enjoy going out to places with my family and also like the music my parents play in the car. My favourite subject at school is reading. My favourite sport that I enjoy is Rugby. I love eating Carl Jr’s but, I mostly like eating my mom’s cooking. One of my hobbies is to play on the playstation with my friends but, out of all my hobbies my favourite is bike riding with my dad. My goal is to complete my hard work this year and take risks.
