The book I chosen was Fanene Peter Maivia Son Of Samoa. It was about
a his life and him wrestling.

I like reading this book and it was interesting.

Punctuation

For writing we learned about puncuation. We had to understand what each puncuation
meant.

There were two task to complete. The first task we did was to identify the punctuation. We had to match the meaning with the correct puncuation.

The next task was to use all puncuation using in a small amount of sentences. There was 11 puncuation  This challenge really helped me with my puncuation. I finished all the puncuation in three sentences.

I enjoyed this task because it really helped me with puncuation.

Solving Strategies

For maths we had to think of different strategies to solve a equation. The amount of problems we had to solve was 19, My group solved 11 equations. The strategies we used was number line, written algorithem, normal subtractions, counting back, repeated addition/multiplication, and division.

One equation I solved was 82 - 44. One of the strategies I used to solve this equation was splitting up numbers. Firstly I split 44, 40 + 4. Next I subtract 4 from 82, 82 - 4= 78. Lastly I subtract 40 from 78, 78 - 40= 38. So 82 - 44 = 38.

Another equation I solved was 72 divided by 8. One of the strategies I used was fact family. One fact is 72 divided by 8=9. The other fact is 9 x 8=72.

I enjoyed solving strategies because it was fun.

Explain That Idiom

For my reading session we did explain that idiom.

First I had to choose three idioms and understand the meaning. Then I have to
create a short script using the word I picked. After that I have to create a video
using following that script. One phrase I did was better late than never. It meant to arrive late or not come at all.

I enjoyed doing this because I learned new idioms and it was fun filming.

Swimming Lessons

For swimming I practised some skills. There are four skills we practised for our swimming lesson. Entering the pool is for safety.

The first skill I practised was streamline. I had to put my arms up and put hands together, then I swam to the other side. Next skill I practised was freestyle. I moved my arms in and out of the water using my legs too.

The third skill I practised was side stroke. I lay down on my side while kicking my way to the otherside.

The last skill I practised was dolphin dive. I positioned myself like a dolphin then went up and down like a dolphin.

I enjoyed swimming because it made me swim better.

Tangrams

To day I learned how to make tangrams. I rearranged the pieces to make animal shapes.

First I made a square piece of paper because tangrams are made from a big square.
The I folded the square into various shapes and cut them out. Lastly, I tried to make
different animal shapes from the tangram pieces.

It was difficult making the animal shapes but I had a really fantastic time.
