Activity One: About NZ People

3 interesting facts of NZ people. 


  •  Rugby is the most favourite sport watched by NZ people.
  • The bungy jump was one of the famous inventions.
  • Sir Edmund was the first person to climb Mt Everest. He was a kiwi.

Today I completed my first reading activity about the NZ people.

    Welcome to the Winter Learning Journey programme, Spelman! It's great to have you on our team, blogging away, over the holiday.

    I can see from your post that you did your research and have found three really interesting facts about our country. I must admit that I am a rugby fan and I actually watched the All Blacks game last night on television. It was a pretty important match against a team from the United Kingdom called the British/Irish Lions. They have travelled all the way from the UK to play rugby against our national team(s). Have you heard of the Lions before? If so, did you get to watch the game last night?

    I hope that you will continue to blog over the holiday and share your learning with us. I love learning new things and can't wait to see what else you can teach us about this awesome country that we call home!

    I didn't know rugby is the most favorite sport watched by New Zealand people. I didn't think it was that popular! Well done.
