Venn Diagram- Amelia Earhart- Jean Batten

We had to make a venn diagram and I used Amelia Earhart and Jean Batten. We had to write comparisons about them both.We have to write something that is common and not in-common.One fact about them both is that Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart were great pilots of there time.

  1. Hi Spelman, this is Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani and I'll be commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. I really like the venn diagram you have created about two awesome aviators - do you want to be a pilot when you leave school, or maybe a flight engineer? Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  2. Kia Ora Spelman,

I’m Dani, one of the blog commenters for the Kaikohekohe cluster for the Summer Learning Journey. I have heard some great things about the students at Panmure Bridge School so I thought I would jump on and check out some blog posts.

Ka pai! You have done a good job finding some interesting facts about both Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. They were both very brave women to fly airplanes 100 years ago when the planes were very different! Do you think you would be brave enough to fly a plane from England to New Zealand? Did you know that there is a school in Mangere called Jean Batten School? How cool would it be to at a school named after a very well known New Zealander. I think that it is quite cool that they are close to the airport.

I just wanted to let you know that this is the last day that all of the blog commenters are working for 2019! We are all taking some time to hang out with whanau and to celebrate the holidays. But everyone will be back on January 6th so keep blogging and we can read them when we get back!

I hope I get to read more of your blog posts soon,

    Dani
