LI: To find specific facts by scanning.
LI: To find general information by skimming.
Scanning means looking for keywords to find the information you need.
Skimming means read topic sentences to get a basic idea of a book or text.
We had a book and there is questions for us. We have to scan or skim to find the correct information. The book is called Bright Fine Gold and it is about people coming to NZ to mine for gold. There was more questions we had to anwser.
