Aboriginal Dot Art

Aboriginal art are what Aboriginal people did so they can tell there stories. That happened about 45,000 years ago. Instead of using words they used symbols to tell there stories. These stories were actually called dreamtime stories.

My animal I used is a Goanna. A Goanna is a type of lizard. We tested out doing
the dot technique before doing the real art. The symbols that we used for the art : waterhole, footprints,
travelling path, hunter, boomerang, stars and others more.

My dreamtime story is about a Goanna looking for water. He drinks water from the waterhole
and then a hunter come in with a boomerang, then he throws it at the Goanna but misses. The Goanna
looks for another waterhole to drink out of.

Lastly he travels to a new area with more waterholes and more food.

I enjoyed doing aboriginal dot painting and it was fun.
