Metaphors are a kind of figurative language. Metaphors are a comparison of two things with a similar quality by saying one object is the other.

One example of a metaphor is: The teacher is a dragon. The main object is the teacher. The comparison is the dragon. The meaning of the phrase is that she is really angry.

People can describe things like: someone voice, weather, appetite, and ect.
