Making Connections

LI: To identify and describe connections.

Connections are similar ideas to something. There are three main connections and they are: text to self, text to text, and text to world.

Text to text refers to making a link to ideas that present in another book. An example for text to text is: In the text we inferred... In the story the mouse was brave to talk to the Gruffalo. My connection... In the book Herobrine goes to school Herobrine talks and stands to the bully.

Text to self refers to making a link between actions, feelings or themes that you have experienced. An example for text to self is: In the text we inferred... in the story the fox is sneaky. My connection is... in the house I snuck in the kitchen sneakily to get some cookies.

Text to world refers to linking the themes or author's purpose to things happening in the world.
An example for text to world is: In the text we inferred... In the story the mother squrriel told a story to her children. My connection... family members tell stories so you can know what happened.

Connections help to make similar ideas.
