Optical Illusions

For this activity we made our own optical illusions.

There was a website where it had all the information on it about optical illusions.

My shape I used for my optical illusion was a circle. How I made my optical illusion is that I make a big circle. I copy and paste it until than make it a little bit smaller. I just kept on doing until I thought it was enough circles put on there.

I think this is my favourite task lately.

Amazing illusion! It definitely makes my eyes and head spin a little!

What does it do for you when you look into it for a long time? Were you getting a little dizzy while you were designing it or was it fine?

I also think that keeping the circles a little irregular in size, really helps with the illusion aspect to the picture.

Great work! I can tell you enjoyed this one :)

    Mā te wā,

Ka pai on this fantastic blog post! Your optical illusion is awesome - I have sat looking at it for a while because it is mesmerising, which was the precise point of this activity. Do you like drawing? If so, what other things do you like to draw?

I’m so glad to hear that this is your favourite Summer Learning Journey activity that has been posted recently, what did you like about it in particular?

Ngā mihi nui and keep up the excellent mahi - I can’t wait to see your other posts over the summer!
